Creighton Prep is a perfect 9-0 against Lincoln North Star since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Creighton Prep was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Papillion-LaVista South 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Junior Jays have posted against the Titans since April 15, 2022.

Creighton Prep got a great performance from Quinn Peterson as he struck out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, Creighton Prep saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cal Anthony, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Charlie Ziola was another, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Lincoln North Star's offense. They fell just short of Lincoln Northeast by a score of 2-0 on Monday. The loss was the Navigators' first of the season.

Lincoln North Star's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-1. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 3.17 runs. As for Creighton Prep, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

Everything went Creighton Prep's way against Lincoln North Star when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Creighton Prep made off with a 12-0 victory.
