Preview: St. Mary vs. Weehawken
On Friday Weehawken take on St. Mary at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Weehawken have to be aching after a bruising 14-35 loss to Emerson last Friday. Weehawken got a solid performance out of senior Jimmy Lopez, who picked up 160 yards on the ground and accumulated 96 passing yards; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.
Meanwhile, St. Mary found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 8-38 punch to the gut against Wallington. St. Mary were down by 8-38 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
