Basketball Recap: Roxborough Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Roxborough extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Josh Jones. The Roxborough Wolves escaped with a win on Thursday against the Olney Trojans by the margin of a single free throw, 50-49 thanks in part to Jones, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 steals. Those 11 steals gave him a new career-high.

Shane Bennett was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to 12 rebounds and three blocks. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games he's played.

Roxborough is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Olney, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Roxborough will be playing in front of their home fans against High School of the Future at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Olney, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-56 defeat against Science Leadership Academy at Beeber on the 17th.
