Volleyball Recap: Village Christian Beats Basha for Their Second Straight Win

Basha came into Saturday's match looking for another win against Village Christian, but Izzy Aragon wouldn't allow it. The Crusaders narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Bears 2-1 with plenty of help from Aragon, who had 16 digs and two assists. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

Basha lost on Saturday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Isla Little, who had 12 digs. Kaylie Lynar was another key player, getting nine assists and three digs.

The win made it two in a row for Village Christian and bumps their season record up to 12-9. As for Basha, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.

Village Christian has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Mayfield on the 27th. As for Basha, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Saugus on the 27th.
