Jefferson City entered their tilt with Capital City on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cavaliers. That's more bragging rights for the Jays, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Jefferson City won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15, 25-22.

Leading Jefferson City to victory were Ella Showers and Alayna Maloney. Showers had 14 digs and three assists, while Maloney had six digs and three aces. Showers is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

They weren't the only good server: Jefferson City was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matchups.

Jefferson City's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Capital City, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
