Basketball Recap: Trinity Prep Comes Up Short

Trinity Prep had lost six straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 0-7 to make it seven. They lost 52-32 to the Bishop Moore Hornets. If the Saints were looking for revenge after losing 70-53 to the Hornets when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Trinity Prep still got an impressive performance from Julian Font, who posted eight points along with eight boards and three blocks. Finn Davidescu also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

As for Bishop Moore, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-4 record. They not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since November 26, 2024 (when they won 53-24).

Bishop Moore's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Herman Collins, who had 15 points and eight rebounds. Adam Gonzalez was another key player, going 6-for-7 en route to 14 points and five boards.

Trinity Prep has already played their next game, a 62-58 win against Horizon on the 12th. Bishop Moore has also already played their next matchup (against Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
