Basketball Recap: Warren County Comes Up Short

Warren County lost against DeKalb County back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers took a 43-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the DeKalb County Tigers.

Warren County dropped their record down to 5-11 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for DeKalb County, their victory ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-13.

Warren County and DeKalb County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. Warren County will challenge Lincoln County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 147 places (170 vs. 23). Similarly, DeKalb County (ranked 244th) will meet White County (ranked sixth) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
