Soccer Game Preview: Columbus vs. Dodgeville

The Columbus Cardinals will venture away from home to take on the Dodgeville Dodgers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Columbus' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Columbus lost 9-1 to Lakeside Lutheran on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dodgeville). They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over Galena on Tuesday. Dodgeville haven't had any issues with Galena recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Dodgeville's win bumped their record up to 2-3-1. As for Columbus, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
