With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.3 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madison Ponko, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Krysta Shreve, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Hanover Area was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greater Nanticoke Area only posted a batting average of .241.
MMI Preparatory School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Hanover Area, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 5-12.
