Basketball Recap: Shiloh Kimpson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Little Elm over Flower Mound

Little Elm was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 67-49 bruising from the Flower Mound Jaguars. While losing is never fun, the Lobos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 369th, while the Jaguars are ranked ninth).

Several Lobos players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shiloh Kimpson, who posted 14 points and six rebounds. That's the most boards Kimpson has posted since back in November. Adrianna Drake was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Little Elm's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Flower Mound, the win keeps them at an undefeated 19-0.

Little Elm and Coppell will compete for holiday cheer at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Flower Mound will take on Lewisville in a holiday battle at at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Flower Mound's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.
