Wisconsin School for the Deaf's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Academy of Excellence Warriors, sneaking past 41-39. This was a revenge game for the Firebirds: when they faced off against the Warriors back in December of 2024, they had to take a 35-29 loss.

Wisconsin School for the Deaf's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 6-12. As for Academy of Excellence, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Wisconsin School for the Deaf wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 51-34 loss against New Mexico School for the Deaf on the 6th. As for Academy of Excellence, they will face off against Maranatha Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th.
