Recap: Chelsea Academy Knights vs. Fairfax HomeSchool Hawks
The Chelsea Academy Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Fairfax HomeSchool by a score of 74-72. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Monday (58), Chelsea Academy still had to take the loss.
Despite the defeat, Chelsea Academy saw an underclassman step up: Miriam Pilon scored 21 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Pilon scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Cici Wingate, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Chelsea Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Fairfax HomeSchool, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chelsea Academy will take on Seton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Seton is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. As for Fairfax HomeSchool, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Frederick Force at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
