Basketball Game Preview: Holy Cross Indians vs. Highlands Bluebirds

The Holy Cross Indians just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Highlands Bluebirds at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Holy Cross' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.

On Thursday, Holy Cross was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 64-59 to Dixie Heights.

Meanwhile, Highlands suffered their biggest loss since January 26, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 91-66 to Lloyd Memorial. While losing is never fun, the Bluebirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Juggernauts are ranked 12th).

Highlands' defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Holy Cross, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.
