Baseball Game Preview: Bethel Christian Academy Trojans vs. Scotland Christian Academy Saints

The Bethel Christian Academy Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the Scotland Christian Academy Saints at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Bethel Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Southside Christian, taking the game 6-3. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Brayden Cash, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Bethel Christian Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Levi Gates also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last match, Scotland Christian Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Living Water Christian on Friday. Scotland Christian Academy blew past Living Water Christian 17-2.

James Sheffield was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Sheffield is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Landyn Wallace, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2.

Scotland Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Living Water Christian only posted an OBP of .400.

Bethel Christian Academy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Scotland Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
