Cedar Ridge had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the South Granville Vikings as they made off with an 8-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Fighting Red Wolves, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Cedar Ridge's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for South Granville, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-10.

Cedar Ridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-5 defeat against Terry Sanford on the 29th. Hopefully South Granville paid attention to the Fighting Red Wolves' matchup: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Fighting Red Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
