Baseball Recap: Casady Has No Trouble Against Anadarko

Casady won the last time they faced Anadarko and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cyclones blew past the Warriors 17-2. The Cyclones might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Kyler Tice made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 1-for-3. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

In other batting news, Jozef Pikula was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Davis Currie, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Casady was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .519. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .350 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Casady has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Anadarko, they dropped their record down to 4-17 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Casady will challenge Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Cyclones' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Anadarko, they will take on Western Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Jets will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
