Baseball Recap: East Central Comes Up Short

Mora hit East Central with a four-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 7-6. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

East Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gradyn Swenson, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Swenson is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Oliver Carlin also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

East Central now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Mora, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-4.

Looking ahead, East Central will host Ogilvie at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mora, they are taking a road trip to take on Hinckley-Finlayson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
