Volleyball Recap: Layla Thimm's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hustisford over Madison Country Day

Hustisford was the 3-1 winner over Madison Country Day when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons fell 2-0 to Madison Country Day on Saturday. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Hustisford's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Layla Thimm, who had five digs, three aces, and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaydence Muche, who had 16 digs and two assists.

Hustisford's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Madison Country Day, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-7.

Hustisford has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Williams Bay on the 11th. As for Madison Country Day, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Cambria-Friesland on the 11th.
