The Susquehannock Warriors will square off against the West York Area Bulldogs at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. West York Area took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Susquehannock, who comes in off a win.
On Monday, Susquehannock beat Dover 7-2.

Ella Wetzel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Emily Karst was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Shue, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, West York Area finally came back down to earth on Monday. They fell 3-0 to Eastern York. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Golden Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
West York Area also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Maddie McGlynn gave up only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 17 Ks.
Susquehannock is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for West York Area, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Susquehannock has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like West York Area struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Susquehannock's way against West York Area in their previous matchup back in March, as Susquehannock made off with a 14-4 victory. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
