Baseball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Comes Up Short

After flying high against Davis County on Tuesday, Mt. Pleasant came back down to earth. The Panthers fell just short of the Fairfield Trojans by a score of 10-9 on Thursday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Mt. Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Fairfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Mt. Pleasant will be playing in front of their home fans against Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Fairfield, they have already played their next contest, a 9-8 win against Central DeWitt on the 20th.
