Baseball Game Preview: Winnebago Indians vs. Alden-Hebron Green Giants

The Winnebago Indians will challenge the Alden-Hebron Green Giants at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Winnebago and five for Alden-Hebron.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Winnebago's offense. They came up short against Byron on Thursday, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, Alden-Hebron lost 19-1 to Harvest Christian Academy on Thursday.

Wyatt Armbrust was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Alden-Hebron's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Winnebago, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.

Everything went Winnebago's way against Alden-Hebron in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Winnebago made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
