Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plainfield Central). They never let the Joliet Central Steelmen get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Tuesday. Considering Plainfield Central have won nine contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Plainfield Central, bringing their record up to 15-3-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six matchups. As for Joliet Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Plainfield Central and Joliet Central are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Wildcats will face off against Benet Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Joliet Central, they will square off against Richards at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
