Baseball Recap: McConnellsburg Triumphs

McConnellsburg got themselves on the board against Everett on Wednesday, but Everett never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Warriors. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Kohen Hall made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over 5.2 innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Hall wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ben Sattazahn, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

McConnellsburg now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Everett, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McConnellsburg will welcome Claysburg-Kimmel at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Everett, they will be playing at home against James Buchanan at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rockets have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
