Softball Game Recap: Minneota Vikings vs. Sacred Heart Eagles

Minneota had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They never let the Sacred Heart Eagles get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Saturday.

Dakota Pesch was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-2. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Danni Kockelman was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Minneota wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-7 victory against Wheaton/Herman-Norcross on the 12th. As for Sacred Heart, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County] at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
