 Silver Creek won the last time they faced Greeley West, and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Silver Creek Raptors came out on top against the Greeley West Spartans by a score of  4-1.
  Jake Bator spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered one  run (which was  unearned)  on five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Connor Lopez was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Nate Spiegel, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-4.
 On Greeley West's side,  Luke Ramirez was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  struck out nine batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   nine  hits (and only one walk).
 At the plate, Greeley West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Beau Schaller, who  went 2-for-3 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Greeley West  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with nine  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silver Creek only tossed five.
 Silver Creek has  been performing  well recently as they've  won 12 of their last 15 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record  this season. As for Greeley West, they are  on  a  ten-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-19.
 Silver Creek will stay at home for another  game and welcome Horizon at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Greeley West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
