Baseball Game Preview: Indian Trail Hawks vs. Racine Case Eagles

For the second straight game, Indian Trail will face off against Racine Case. The Hawks will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Indian Trail's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Racine Case's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Indian Trail duked it out with Racine Case on Tuesday. The Hawks fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2.

For Racine Case's part, their win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Chad Mortensen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Mortensen has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

The victory (which was Racine Case's fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Indian Trail, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
