Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Newberry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sarah Beaulieu, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine assists. Beaulieu has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Brandy Whitfield was another key player, going 10 for 21 on her way to 25 points in addition to five assists and three steals.
Trenton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances.
