Basketball Game Preview: Gilmer Bobcats vs. Fannin County Rebels

Gilmer is 9-1 against Fannin County since November of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Gilmer Bobcats will finish 2024 at home by hosting the Fannin County Rebels at 4:30 p.m. Gilmer knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Fannin County likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, Gilmer earned a 63-52 win over Fannin County.

Jd Taylor was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. His afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Mcvey, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 13 points and eight rebounds.

Gilmer smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Gilmer now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Fannin County, they moved to 6-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
