Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Almont). Everything went their way against the Merritt Academy Mustangs on Thursday as they made off with a 13-3 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Raiders sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Almont pushed their record up to 8-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Merritt Academy, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Almont will venture away from home to face off against Marine City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Merritt Academy, they will head out to square off against Capac at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Chiefs have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
