It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Sandia ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Manzano Monarchs 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-0 back in September.

Audrey Brandt-Barboa and Mia Olivas scored all three of Sandia's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Sandia's win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 4-8. As for Manzano, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-1.

Sandia has already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Hope Christian on the 2nd. As for Manzano, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 10-0 victory against Capital on the 4th.
