Volleyball Recap: Apple Valley Takes a Loss

Apple Valley's tournament run continued when they took on Stewartville on Saturday. The Eagles fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Stewartville was led to victory by Reagan Mittelstadt and Clara Theobald. Mittelstadt had 18 digs and two assists, while Theobald had 12 assists and eight digs. That's the most digs Mittelstadt has posted since back in September. Dream Petersohn also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Apple Valley's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Stewartville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Apple Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Burnsville on the 14th. As for Stewartville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Goodhue on the 14th.
