Basketball Game Preview: Holliston Panthers vs. Westwood Wolverines

Holliston hasn't had much luck against Westwood recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Holliston Panthers will be playing at home against the Westwood Wolverines at 6:30 p.m.

Last Friday, Holliston was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 45-39 to Dedham. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Marauders are ranked 108th).

Meanwhile, Westwood came tearing into Sunday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 41-33 victory over the Hawks. The 41-point effort marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

This is the second loss in a row for Holliston and nudges their season record down to 4-9. As for Westwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
