Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Woodward Academy walked away with it. They snuck past the Creekview Grizzlies with a 42-36 victory on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the War Eagles as they're now sitting on 16 straight.

Woodward Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Z Williams, who posted eight points and 12 rebounds. Lauryn Dennis-Cooper was another key player, putting up nine points and six assists.

Woodward Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 17 consecutive matchups.

Woodward Academy pushed their record up to 23-5 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. As for Creekview, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-6.

Coming up, Woodward Academy will face off against Bradwell Institute at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bradwell Institute is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.1 points per game this season. Creekview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
