El Capitan/Centennial Academy picks up 16th straight win at home

El Capitan/Centennial Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 104-6 victory over Grand Canyon. The win was familiar territory for El Capitan/Centennial Academy who now have nine in a row.

El Capitan/Centennial Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan Hammon led the charge by scoring 25 points along with six rebounds. Hammon hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Hammon, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and six steals.

El Capitan/Centennial Academy pushed their record up to 16-4 with that victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33 points. As for Grand Canyon, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-18.

El Capitan/Centennial Academy will be playing at home against Fredonia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fredonia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 341st, while El Capitan/Centennial Academy is ranked 163rd). As for Grand Canyon, they will head out on the road to square off against Greyhills Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Greyhills Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
