Basketball Game Preview: Murphy Panthers vs. Percy Julian Phoenix

The Murphy Panthers will square off against the Percy Julian Phoenix on Saturday. One thing working in Murphy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten games.

Murphy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top against Saraland by a score of 62-55. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Percy Julian fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Wetumpka on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 78-77 to the Indians. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (64), the Phoenix still had to take the loss.

Percy Julian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Murphy, their win bumped their record up to 24-6.

Murphy was dealt a bruising 76-38 loss at the hands of Percy Julian when the teams last played back in December of 2018. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
