Cusick is 10-0 against Columbia since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Cusick Panthers just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Columbia Lions at 6:00 p.m. Cusick will be strutting in after a win while Columbia will be coming in after a loss.

It was a proper cat-fight when Cusick faced off against Curlew on Thursday. Cusick strolled past Curlew with points to spare, taking the game 54-39. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 164th, while the Cougars are ranked 350th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Columbia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against Inchelium, falling 89-29.

The victory made it two in a row for Cusick and bumps their season record up to 8-2. As for Columbia, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Everything came up roses for Cusick against Columbia when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 73-44 win. Does Cusick have another victory up their sleeve, or will Columbia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
