Basketball Game Preview: Bullis Bulldogs vs. DeMatha Stags

Bullis is on an eight-game streak of home wins, while DeMatha is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bullis Bulldogs will be taking part in a tournament against the DeMatha Stags on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Bullis is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Maryland's top teams: Georgetown Prep, who was ranked ninth at the time (Bullis was ranked second). Bullis put the hurt on Georgetown Prep with a sharp 68-47 victory on Monday.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and DeMatha had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 75-63 win over Glenelg Country on Monday.

Bullis better keep an eye on Ashton (Ace) Meeks. He was instrumental in DeMatha's win, going 6-for-7 from beyond the arc on his way to 26 points. Meeks' big performance that afternoon made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Christian Proctor was another key player, shooting 67% from the field en route to 16 points.

DeMatha was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They are 21-3 when they've passed the ball that well.

Bullis is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.9 points over those games. DeMatha's victory bumped their record up to 23-6.
