Basketball Game Preview: Kearny Komets vs. Morse Tigers

The Kearny Komets will head out to face off against the Morse Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Morse took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Kearny, who comes in off a win.

Kearny can't be too worried about heading out to take on Morse: they just beat Clairemont at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Kearny narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Clairemont 62-59. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Komets.

Meanwhile, Morse played a tough matchup on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 66-45 to Mount Miguel. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since December 28, 2024.

Morse's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Kearny, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Kearny barely slipped by Morse in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 60-59. Does Kearny have another victory up their sleeve, or will Morse turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
