Soccer Game Preview: Heights vs. Goddard

The Heights Falcons will head out to square off against the Goddard Lions on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Heights was handed a four-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They beat Buhler by a goal, winning 3-2.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Goddard faced off against El Dorado on Tuesday. The Lions put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 8-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what Goddard needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Their offense was hitting El Dorado from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Japheth Pizza led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Heights' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Goddard, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
