Independence is a perfect 10-0 against Garinger since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Patriots will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Independence's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Independence fell victim to Charlotte Catholic and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Independence can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while Charlotte Catholic are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, Garinger also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 7-0 to East Mecklenburg on Thursday. Garinger have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 4-11-1. As for Garinger, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12-1.
