Recap: Dillon Christian Warriors vs. Marlboro Academy Dragons
After flying high against the Lee Academy Cavaliers last Wednesday, the Dillon Christian Warriors came back down to earth. The match between Dillon Christian and Marlboro Academy wasn't particularly close, with Dillon Christian falling 75-60. Dillon Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Marlboro Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played two weeks ago.
When it comes to explaining why Dillon Christian lost on Thursday, one person who can't be blamed is Jackson Outlar. Despite the final result, he scored 29 points along with eight rebounds. Outlar is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Sean Locklear, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Dillon Christian's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Marlboro Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.
Dillon Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marlboro Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-48 win vs. Conway Christian on the 9th.
