Knott County Central waltzed into their matchup on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Leslie County Eagles 64-43. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Despite the loss, Leslie County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jayden Hacker went 5 of 10 en route to 18 points and five rebounds. Hacker continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tripp Brashear, who posted six points.

Knott County Central's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points per game. As for Leslie County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

Knott County Central will face off against Cordia at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leslie County, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Jenkins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
