Baseball Recap: Coolidge Bears vs. Seton Catholic Sentinels
Coolidge extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 6-14 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Seton Catholic Sentinels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sentinels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-3 on April 3rd.
As for Seton Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games.
For Seton Catholic's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Brown, who went 1-for-2 with one run. Nathan Mulligan was another, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
As of now, neither Coolidge nor Seton Catholic have any future games scheduled.
