Sumner-Fredericksburg proved they can win big on Friday (they won by nine) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons, sneaking past 5-4. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

Sumner-Fredericksburg now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Aplington-Parkersburg, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sumner-Fredericksburg will host Wapsie Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Aplington-Parkersburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dike-New Hartford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
