Football Game Preview: Stockton Blackhawks vs. Durand/Pecatonica Rivermen

The Stockton Blackhawks are taking a road trip to face off against the Durand/Pecatonica Rivermen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stockton will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, Stockton took their matchup with ease, bagging a 46-8 win over Pearl City-Eastland. The result was nothing new for the Blackhawks, who have now won six games by 24 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Durand/Pecatonica didn't have too much trouble with Forreston on Friday as they won 34-20. The Rivermen haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Stockton better keep an eye on Dermot Dolan. He was instrumental in Durand/Pecatonica's win, rushing for 334 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.5 yards per carry. Those 334 rushing yards gave Dolan a new career-high.

Stockton's record now sits at 7-0. As for Durand/Pecatonica, their record is now 6-1.

Stockton came up short against Durand/Pecatonica in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, falling 32-26. Thankfully for the Blackhawks, Cooper Hoffman (who threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85% of his passes, and also rushed for 76 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries) won't be suiting up this time.
