Softball Recap: Keller Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Keller put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their undefeated season alive. They walked away with an 8-3 win over Waxahachie. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 21-4 last Saturday.

Preslie Olbrish tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.2 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Mackenna Jackson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two triples and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Lauren Kavanaugh, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Keller's victory bumped their record up to 6-0-1. As for Waxahachie, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Keller and Waxahachie's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Keller and Aledo (who has only given up 2.4 runs per game) will meet at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keller's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Waxahachie's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Similarly, Waxahachie will challenge Centennial at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, a squad that's only allowed 3.5 runs per game.
