Slippery Rock is 6-1 against Greenville since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Rockets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Slippery Rock 3.8, Greenville 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Slippery Rock is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 13-6 margin over Titusville on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for Slippery Rock in their matchups with Titusville: they've now won six in a row.

The team relied heavily on Parker Dalcamo, who fired off two home runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isaac McCandless, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Slippery Rock lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Greenville was able to grind out a solid win over West Middlesex on Wednesday, taking the game 9-4.
Nick Solderich was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Solderich was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Brandon Stubert was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Blake Rottman was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Slippery Rock's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Greenville, their win bumped their record up to 14-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Slippery Rock has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Greenville struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Slippery Rock took their victory against Greenville when the teams last played back in May of 2022 by a conclusive 14-4 score. Will the Rockets repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
