Foothill won against Mission Viejo on Saturday with six points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. The Knights didn't even let the Pacifica Mariners on the board, marking the Knights' second-straight 6-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won five matches in a row.

Foothill didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Maleah Paige, Abigail Lawson, and Hailee Flower picked up one apiece. Paige has been hot, having also posted at least one defended passe the last five times she's played. Foothill got some further help from Caroline O'Neal: she picked up a sack, made seven total tackles, and defended one pass.

Foothill's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Pacifica, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foothill will welcome Portola at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pacifica, they will host Brea Olinda at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
