Baseball Recap: Ripon Christian's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Ripon Christian never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Ripon Indians 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Jordan Luisi made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Luisi was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

In other batting news, Ripon Christian got a massive performance out of Trenton Cloward, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave Cloward a new career-high. Tyler Wadlow also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Ripon Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Ripon Christian's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9. As for Ripon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

Coincidentally, Ripon Christian and Ripon will both be playing Orestimba the next time they take the field. The Indians will head out to face the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Knights will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on the 16th.
