Volleyball Recap: Pontiac Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Pontiac entered their tilt with Prairie Central on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Hawks. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-1 win back in September.

In the two sets Pontiac was on fire: they won each by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-9, 25-13.

Trinity Cheek paced Pontiac's offense, picking up 26 kills. Cheek got some help from Morgan Dewald and her 47 assists. Alexis Legner controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Pontiac's victory bumped their record up to 26-8. As for Prairie Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-16 record this season.

Pontiac will square off against Peotone at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prairie Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
